POSITION - JUNIOR CAD TECHNICIAN

NWD are looking to appoint a Junior CAD Technician to join our busy and growing RIBA Chartered practice based in Kelsall, Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs leading Retail / Veterinary design practices and contribute towards our growing success.

The Role:

As a Junior CAD Technician, you will be recognised by supporting our current design team which include Architects, Senior CAD Technicians, Passivhaus Designer, Principal Designer and Technicians. You will primarily work on refurbishment packages for Pet Store & Veterinary Surgery projects across the UK for our specialist retail clients.

The role will have an element of concept template design, although configuring our established systems to client needs is the core function.

Skills & Experience required:

Experience of AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
Previous exposure to measured site survey work would be beneficial.
Used to working with Microsoft Office, Sketch Up and Photoshop.
Keen eye for detail, inquisitive and good problem solving skills.
Strong team player with a can-do attitude and good interpersonal skills.
Good communicator ideally with some client facing experience.

The role is full time, working 37.5 hours per week based at our head office in Kelsall. Some travel to site meetings will be required, so a full driving licence would be a benefit.
