Swindon, Wiltshire: office refurbishment

Isambard House is an historic building, designed by the famous Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel between 1841 and 1842. Formerly a 'wheel machine-shop', it was converted to offices in 2000 and then selected by Vets4Pets, one of our long-standing clients, as the location for their national headquarters.
the brief
Our brief was to enhance, update and tailor the building to provide a suitably attractive and functional environment for both staff and their pets.
NWD's approach
The design incorporated cellular and open offices, meeting rooms, conference facilities and a restaurant, all respectful of the original Grade Two listed features.
The Outcome
The challenging brief has resulted in a series of delightful office spaces.
